The Public Defender of Georgia assesses the second round of the presidential elections.

According to Nino Lomjaria, the ombudsman"s office was not an observer at the elections, however, they have already started to study revealed violations.

" It is not a mandate of the Public Defender to evaluate the legitimacy of the elections. The mandate of the Public Defender is to react on the individual or systematic facts of violation... Of course, we are closely watching and studying the information disseminated by observer organizations on the cases of pressure, violence and bribery and of course we are going to have appropriate assessments in the annual report, "- said Lomjaria.
