Iliauni Rector"s meeting with students ended without result and they spent the night in the university building. Students are again demanding restoration of the Business School as a faculty and demanding Giorgi Kadagidze"s return to Dean"s position.
They do not agree with the reorganization of the school, which resulted in the school being canceled and becoming a part of the new faculty of management, technology and education. The leadership of the higher education system does not share the student"s opinions and demands. Rector left the university building without leaving concrete answers to the youth.
If Giga Zedania does not satisfy students" demands, young people say that they will demand his resignation.
Before meeting with Iliauni Rector, students spoke with George Kadagidze and Giorgi Papava. They discussed problems in the university and expressed protest over the abolition of the business school. Kadagidze speaks about reforms implemented in the university and Iliauni budget deficiencies.
"Our education system needs radical reforms today and we are talking about the changes and the reforms we have been implementing.
" Obviously, this coincides with the period when we requested more transparency and asked for more access to the university finances, "said Giorgi Kadagidze.
