The parliamentary majority is on the verge of collapse - the Committee on Legal Issues has failed Eka Beselia"s legislative initiative after a noisy discussion.

The hearing of the draft law prepared by Beselia will now be held in the plenary session format.
The sitting of the Bureau should determine, whether the voting will be held with the first reading.

The political crisis and confrontation within the majority, which has begun on the issue of judges, has lasted for the last few months. If the document is not be supported by the majority and the lifelong appointment of judges continues, the so-called Eka Beselia"s team will leave the ruling team.

Mamuka Mdinaradze, the chairperson of the faction "Georgian Dream" states that there are questions about the constitutionality of the bill prepared by Beselia .
