Lawmakers will listen to Zurab Abashidze"s special representative for relations with Russia today. At the closed session of the Foreign Relations Committee, the main issue will be the last meeting of Abashidze-Karasin in Prague.
MPs have a lot of questions with Zurab Abashidze - what is the stage of the agreement between Russia and Georgia signed in 2011 and his position on the last threat of Karasin.
"He serves the interests of Bidzina Ivanishvili personally. It proves that he is not subject to the Prime Minister, as well as other members of the government and actually is acting with Bidzina Ivanishvili`s interests and not in the national interests of the country, "- said Tina Bokuchava, a member of the UNM.
The legislators are also interested in what status Bidzina Ivanishvili met Zurab Abashidze a day before the Prague meeting.
"Who is Bidzina Ivanishvili, what is his position to interfere in such negotiations, especially when these negotiations are not attended by the Foreign Ministry officials," - said Giorgi Kandelaki, a member of "European Georgia".
Zurab Abashidze says he met Bidzina Ivanishvili on his own initiative and informed him about the format of Abashidze-Karasin meetings.
