Leader of the parliamentary majority, Archil Talakvadze, told media that he had no information about the attendance and absence of the president.
"The president has a great spokesperson and public relations office and you can get more information from them," said Archil Talakvadze.
Eka Beselia, who left the Georgian Dream coalition, is sure that Salome Zourabichvili was invited to the reception.
"I have not seen Madam President. She was invited. I do not think the president would give a miss without a reason. Probably she had some reason, "Eka Beselia said.
Gigi Tsereteli, a member of the European Union, believes that the president should attend such events.
