What has been recorded in a new contract with "Gazprom" - the details remain commercial secret so far. The opposition demands publication of the signed document. The opponents of the government are going to ask questions about this issue at the governmental hour planned in the parliament. The Ministry of Economy of Georgia made a statement on the results of the negotiations with "Gazprom" yesterday. The department explained that the transit fee was increased, the price of Russian gas was reduced and that the new agreement will remain in force until 2021 - no other details are reported.
"Today it is unclear in terms of financial and strategic security, what the terms of the new agreement provide for to our government," said Salome Samadashvili.
The "European Georgia"states that the issue of "Gazprom" and energy dependence on Russia will be one of the key issues in the parliament when the Economy Minister arrives, where they will ask the acute questions.
"It is important that we know details of the new agreement because what we see in the hands of" Georgian Dream "is permanent concessions towards Russia," Zurab Tchiaberashvili says.
