The general plan of land use of the capital city - Tbilisi Sakrebulo opposition is preparing for a noisy session.
At today"s session, the Sakrebulo members should approve the document, which determines the future of the capital`s development.Opposition asserts that the document is tailored to Bidzina Ivanishvili"s interests.
A day before they approved the general plan, it was discovered that the status of more than 14 thousand square meters of land owned by the Botanic Garden and adjacent to the Bidzina Ivanishvili Palace is changing,, which allows construction in this area. Besides, according to the project, the status of the recreational zone will be replaced to the area near the Mziuri in the favor of the Company transferring Ivanishvili`s trees.
"Bidzina Ivanishvili, who is supposedly going to expand his premises, has now a zone of 14 thousand square meters, which he wanted was added. Wherever there should be greenery , there is a permit for the construction of residential buildings and these permits are mainly related to people of the "Georgian Dream" and Bidzina Ivanishvili.
The allegations made by the opposition are called absurd accusations by the majority of Tbilisi Sakrebulo members.
MPs of the "Georgian Dream" accuse opponents of populism.
"We expect that their statements are not business, but political. And as for the general plan that it is tailored to fit somebody"s interests, this is part of their political agenda and is not true. General plan is not working on 14 thousand square meters , they should know that much, so these allegations seem to be a part of the political agenda, "said Levan Zhorzholiani, a member of Tbilisi Sakrebulo faction" Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia ".
