Law enforcers arrested 6 persons for extortion charges in Batumi including 2 citizens of the Republic of Turkey convicted in the past many times.
The crime committed by them envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.The investigation found that the part of the accused was working at the "Bockveri" restaurant in Adlia Street and in the club "Pasha" located on the Airport Street. They systematically requested the citizens of foreign countries visiting these establishments to pay for non-existent menu fees.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of extortion under Article 181 (2) (a) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
