Entry in EP’s resolution on visa liberalisation is pinch of a few MEPs who are angry with Georgian people - Papuashvili

The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament assessed the European Parliament’s resolution on Georgia as a “pinch of a few MEPs who are angry with the Georgian people” and noted that the visa liberalisation between Georgia and the European Union would not be suspended.

“The MEPs themselves are in the governing council. For example, the European Endowment for Democracy is the fund that quietly finances the romanticization of “Molotov cocktails” in Georgia, which quietly finances parties in Georgia, and it is precisely in their interest that these costs remain covered. They are trying to use their opportunity in the European Parliament to attack the Georgian people. Therefore, it is precisely the use of resolutions as a weapon. Of course, this resolution has no force, except that it is an attack on the Georgian people and once again they showed their own face, their attitude towards the Georgian people.

It is also written there that Mikheil Saakashvili should be released, many things are written there. Nothing will be suspended, in this regard the Georgian citizens are not threatened. This is the pinch of a few MEPs who are angry with the Georgian people. The mandate [of MEPs] expires in a few weeks, there are only a few weeks left and this is the last fight to verbally attack the Georgian people in any way”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
