"We asked lawmakers to come and fulfill their duties," said Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Chairman of the Georgian Dream faction.
Mdinaradze responded to the vote on the dismissal of the head of the Diaspora Issues Committee, Zviad Kvachantiradze, when the majority failed to dismiss Kvachantiradzet because of insufficient votes. Only 67 MPs supported Kvachantiradze"s resignation.Members of the parliamentary majority clarified that the technical error occurred at the session - the MPs mixed up the red and green buttons.
However, Mamuka Mdinaradze denies that the MPs have been pressed and says that the team could not be mobilized.
Zviad Kvachantiradze left the position of the chairmanship of the committee before the second voting.
