The lecture of the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, in Maastricht University was attended by members of the United Opposition.
According to Akaki Minashvili, focus was made on methods of fight against oligarchic management and existing challenges.
"It was about the events that took place in our region, in Eastern Europe, how the oligarchs came into power and got hold of the resources in these countries for their enrichment and personal well-being. There was talk about very interesting ideas, about the modern and very bold ideas, including the ideas of direct democracy that will bring these countries out of this situation, "Akaki Minashvili said.
The state capture in the post-Soviet space - was the title of Mikheil Saakashvili"s lecture, which lasted for more than two hours at Maastricht University. The third president of Georgia brought examples of Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova. He pointed out that the oligarchs are in power in the country.
