The European Parliament"s strict message to the "Dream" government - European politicians are addressing the European Commission Vice-President Federica Mogherini and demanding to force the "Georgian Dream" government to launch a dialogue with the opposition to conduct the 2020 elections with proportional system.
The letter, signed by all the leading political group members of the European Parliament, contains the hardest political assessments. European politicians write that since 1991 the worst elections in Georgia were held in 2018. It is about the hardest violations that were revealed during the presidential election. That is why the European Parliament asks the European Commission to pressurize the Georgian authorities to change the electoral system in the country by 2020.
This is not the only letter written in Brussels - the European Parliament has sent another strict message to the Prime Minister of Georgia. 11 European politicians strictly require from Mamuka Bakhtadzes Ia Kerzaia"s case investigation. In Brussels, they are convinced that Zugdidi school director was a victim of the political pressure.
The letter of the European Union is timely for Georgian politicians. In Tbilisi believe, if the Georgian dream does not compromise and will not change the electoral system, then Ivanishvili"s governance will last at least until 2024, which will bring the country to a grave result.
In the "Georgian Dream", the focus is made not on the content of the letter but on the number of signatories. The demand of 11 MEPs was not enough for the ruling team.
