Leaders of opposition parties have started collecting signatures in Kutaisi regarding the amendments to be made to the "Election Code".
In their view, in order to conduct fair elections it is necessary to move to the proportional system and repeal the rule of majoritarian election.
"Today the population has two main demands - one is to end Ivanishvili"s regime, for which we think the change of the Election Code is the most democratic way, and the second - the unification of the opposition spectrum.
" We are trying to make our strategy relevant to people"s demands, "said the New Rights Party member Ivane Kapanadze.
Opposition parties plan to collect a million signatures within the campaign.
