The President of Georgia, who chose to keep silence on Rustaveli Avenue and escaped from journalists, has released a statement regarding the tragic events of April 9 on social network.

Salome Zourabichviliwrites on her Facebook page, that today is a day of the nation"s victory over injustice and violence.

"The tragedy of April 9 helped us to find freedom and independence. It is a day of mourning and joy. It is a day of victory of the nation and national spirit over injustice and violence"-writes the President.

The President left the territory of the April 9 memorial on Rustaveli Avenue without comments with the assistance of the security service representatives. Zourabichvili did not answer nor journalists , neither those people who asked for help.
