The Parliament did not vote for the draft law prepared by the majority on the criteria of selection of the judges of the Supreme Court today. The decision was made at the parliamentary majority meeting held after a noisy session.

As Irakli Kobakhidze explains that the ruling team has not yet agreed which recommendation of the Venice Commission"s will be taken into consideration.

According to the Chairman of the Parliament, the parliamentary majority will discuss this issue tomorrow.

"It may gradually fill the composition of the Supreme Court. This is a political issue, political recommendation for me in the negative context. This is a legal recommendation that should be reflected in the organic law,"- Kobakhindze said.
