The two presidential palaces - Prime Minister makes explanations on the double expenses from the state budget.

Although Salome Zourabichvili is actively using the Avlabari residence, Mamuka Bakhtadze said that this building is not a presidential palace and therefore the question, why the country has double expenses is irrelevant.
According to the Prime Minister, the Avlabari residence has several functions, including reception high-ranking official guests, but there will be placed a museum and public space as well.

"This is not a presidential palace. This building has several functions. Of course, there is certainly a function of hosting high-ranking guests but what"s really important is that the building will have a function of public and museum space, where all citizens of Georgia and tourists will be able to enter," - Mamuka Bakhtadze says.
