Is there a threat for the citizens of Georgia regarding the visa free travel to the European Union? The majority say that the number of asylum-seekers in the Schengen area has recently increased and the situation is considered to be of concern. The opposition imposes responsibility on the government and calls for effective steps.
Yesterday, Tea Tsulukiani made the first statement on this issue. According to her, they should work together with EU representatives to maintain a visa-free regime due to the very difficult times.
"The situation is noteworthy because there is increase in the number of asylum seekers in the EU space, as well as in the number of people being returned from the border, and this is an official basis for the EU member states to put an end to visa-free regime on the agenda," - says Chairperson of the European Integration Committee Tamar Khulordava.
Giga Bokeria, one of the leaders of "European Georgia", names the problems that have threatened visa-free travel with the EU and says that the government should solve these problems first. He blames for all that the grave situation and hopelessness in the country.
