The Georgian president"s scandal - Georgian politicians react to the fact that Salome Zourabichvili"s on her official page shared the statement of the President of the United States, where Donald Trump, calls his competitor Joe Biden "Sleepy" .
They do not believe in the administration"s explanation that Trump"s post on Zourabichvili"s page has been a result of a social media manager"s mistake.
According to politicians, similar decisions of the president are harmful to the country.
"This person embarrasses practically every institution, not just the President"s institution, and is actually very damaging in many directions. Mrs. Salome thinks that people in this country cannot think or do not think. We know very well how how the information is shared . Everybody knows what we are dealing with, we are dealing with the shameful President, "said the member of the UNM Khatia Dekanoidze.
Opponents of the government remind Salome Zourabichvili that she is the commander in chief of the country and her every step expresses Georgia`s position.
"Salome Zourabichvili forgets that she is the president and her reports in the social media are, at least formally, the expression of the state position and when she shares such political attacks on one side of the party, she puts the President"s institution and the country, to put it mildly , in an awkward situation , "Said Giorgi Kandelaki, a member of the"European Georgia ".
The parliamentary majority has refrained from assessing the situation.
"I do not know what the post is all about and I do not think I should comment on all posts on Facebook," said Vice-Speaker of Parliament Tamar Chugoshvili.
