List of Kremlin`s political prisoners and Georgian surnames - Washington publishes research

The study of the Kremlin"s persecution of Georgians on political grounds is published in Washington.There are several Georgian surnames in the list of political prisoners. These are the ethnic Georgians living in the Russian Federation who have observed Russian military techniques to cross the Georgia"s border in the days of the August war and informed relatives in Georgia about it. Some were immediately imprisoned, others after years were sentenced to jail for espionage and treason.
In the report, we meet the names of Marina Janjghava, Anik Kesiani and Oksana Sevastidi from Sokhumi. The Russian authorities have judged them for the treason of the state.We also read the story of Sochi Aviation dispatcher - Piotr Parpulov. He was charged with delivering information to the Georgian side, which was public and published in the Russian Defense Ministry Newspaper.
The report on the Kremlin"s political prisoners has defined around 16 responsible individuals- President Putin, FSB Director Bortnikov, Secretary of Security Council Patrushev, General Prosecutor Yuri Chaika, Justice Minister Conovalov, as well as judges, prosecutors and investigators.
According to the Human Rights Center "Memorial", there are 278 political prisoners in Russia today, which is much more than during the Brezhnev era.
