The opposition considers appointment of Giorgi Gakharia as secretary of the National Security Council as a continuation of inadequate decisions regarding this agency. According to their assessment,nominating the head of the agency, towards whom there are many questions,to the post of the Secretary of the Council is unacceptable. Policymakers do not rule out that this step is the basis for internal disagreements in the team. The National Security Council by headed by the Prime Minister is meeting today for the first time .
"Bidzina Ivanishvili actually relies on Gakharia in the most dirty thing, including the so-called special operation in connection with elections, the kind of pressure that has caused a person"s death , "said Tinatin Bokuchava.

Sergi Kapanadze, a member of the "European Georgia", explains that it is a continuation of the strange decisions regarding this this post that have been repeatedly taken by the Georgian Dream over the Security Council.
Former Majority MP Zviad Kvachantiradze hopes that the new post will not be focused only on the interests of the Georgian Dream and does not exclude that his appointment may be a reason of confrontation in the ruling party.
