Invasion of Russia and Occupation of Territories - Patrick Shanahan acting United States Secretary of Defense spoke about these issues in the Senate.
In the report prepared by the US Department of Defense, Russia"s use of military force against neighboring countries and attempts to prevent sovereign and democratic processes is described i detail.
"Russia makes a clear disregard for the sovereignty of other states by the invasion of Georgia in 2008 and the occupation of 20% of its territories, as well as occupation of Crimea in 2014, ," the document reads.
According to the report submitted by Patrick Shanahan , it is of great importance for Washington to strengthen cooperation with military alliances and partners.
