Zugdidi DEC postpones session for one hour after appearance of opposition

The situation is still tense in Zugdidi 4 days before mid-term elections. The opposition demands appointment of the extraordinary session of Sakrebulo and studying of activities of the main participant of secret record,Gia Danelia. Members of the "National Movement" are meeting with DEC at the moment, demanding the resignation of Miranda Meskhi, the chairwoman of the DEC.
Members of the Sandra Roelofs` office say Meskhi is preparing for falsification of elections and he should not lead the election on May 19 in Zugdidi.
In Zugdidi the DEC meeting was to start, but supposedly due to the fact that opposition representatives came to attend the session, it was postponed for one hour.
"Yesterday we went to the polling stations to check where they had the desk lists before we would be able to return them, as well as the stamps before the new ones were sent from the CEC . It turned out that neither the lists nor the stamps that Miranda Meskhia spoke about were kept safe, so Miranda Meskhi should leave the post. Tamar Zhvania should make this decision, "said Tina Bokuchava, one of the leaders of the National Movement.
Bokuchava says that the reason for postponing the sitting of the commission might be that Miranda Meskhia is related to Tamar Zhvania and Giorgi Gakharia, the real head of the Georgian Dream"s staff. Bokuchava also says that the staff members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are armed, which is a violation of the law.
