The Spokesperson of the President of Georgia responds to the situation in Davit Gareji. According to Khatia Moistsraphishvili, it is important that the negotiations on border delimitation and demarcation are resumed between the Azerbaijani and Georgian sides.

As for the statement made by the President of Georgia, which led to the closure of the road to David Gareji monastery complex, the president"s spokesman said that allegations are due to political reasons.

The President"s Spokesperson avoided answering the question if Salome Zurabishvili takes responsibility for the events that are underway in Davit Gareji.
"These activities, which are caused due to various political or other causes were expected. It does not matter it was expected, but on the other hand, it is necessary to have a border between the two countries," Moistsraphishvili said.
