The issue of the creation of a temporary investigative commission on Temirlan Machalikashvili"s murder case will be voted for in parliament today. The discussion should have taken place yesterday, but it was postponed. The opposition has been demanding the creation of the commission for several months. According to their assessment, if the initiative fails, it will prove that the government does not want to investigate the case objectively. The majority do not see the necessity of creating a commission at this stage.
Member of "European Georgia" Zurab Chiaberashvili speaks about the absence of justice in the country and states that the government will maximally oppose the creation of the commission.
Majority MP Davit Matikashvili states that it is not advisable to create an additional investigative commission before the investigation is over.
