Mikheil Saakashvili traveled to Kiev via Borispol airport after almost two years of pause. The Warsaw-Kiev flight was symbolic for the third President of Georgia. Two years ago, the former governor of the Odessa district, Ukraine, was forced by Petro Poroshenko"s the Security Service of to leave the country with the same route.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy reinstated the Ukrainian citizenship of Mikhail Saakachvili yesterday and today the third President of Georgia returned to Kiev with the ID card, issued by the Ukrainian consul in Warsaw.

Mikhail Saakashvili was met by politicians, journalists and citizens at the Borispol airport.

At the airport Saakachvili was met with red rose and Ukrainian bread. He made the first political statement . He said that he was not going have any position in Ukraine. He also said that he supports Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

As Mikheil Saakachvili stated, big changes are ahead. He is ready to give advices to the newly elected president.

Mikhail Saakachvili will hold meetings tomorrow morning. According to him, today he will dedicate to journalists and to visits to different TV stations.
