Salome Samadashvili, deputy chairperson of the National Movement faction, responds to the interview of the Austrian Ambassador, where Ardan Benko speaks about deficiency of decision makers in Georgia.
According to Salome Samadashvili, similar to the Austrian Ambassador, the opposition has been talking about the same problems for several years already.
Samadashvili says that Ardan Benko directly said that corruption is a problem in the country. This, according to the lawmaker, is caused by the fact that in reality the decisions are made by informal ruler Bidzina Ivanishvili.
"In fact, the Austrian Ambassador said that corruption is one of the problems in the country and, secondly, the problem of management of the country, or in fact no decision can be made by anyone because everything is settled at Ivanishvili"s level and of course, accordingly, the decision-making process is hampered. This is a direct reference to the danger that informal governance and corruption make for our country, this hinders investments. It was, in fact, a public message to Bidzina Ivanishvili and the Georgian authorities that if it does not change, foreign investments and I mean, European investments will not be implemented in Georgia and this message should be taken seriously by the government, "Salome Samadashvili said.
