We cannot justify the fact that we are hosting a person who has violated the Law on Occupied Territories. This is how Zviad Kvachantiradze, an MP from the parliamentary majority, assessed the visit of Russian MPs in Georgia.
According to him, none of the arguments justifies the fact that there is a person in Georgia who has repeatedly violated the Law on Occupied Territories.
Kvachantiradze responded to the fact that the Ukrainian Ambassador left as a sign of protest the Assembly during the address of the Russian Duma member.
"I understand the position of the Ambassador of Ukraine, which should be assumed to be the decision of today"s political leadership. In my opinion, it can not be justified, no arguments that we need cooperation in international formats, can justify the fact that we are hosting a person who has repeatedly violated Georgia"s current law on occupied territories, "said Zviad Kvachantiradze.
