The resolution on Georgia will be discussed at the 28th Plenary Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. The session will be held tomorrow. The document deals with Georgia"s occupied territories. The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly today is dedicated to the committees" sittings.Gigi Tsereteli, the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, said in an interview with "Courier" that the text of the resolution is rather harsh.
According to him, the Russian delegation is distinguished with a special aggression after arriving in Luxembourg.
"Naturally, the position of the Russian delegation is not surprising, but they are particularly aggressive at this session, as it seems, it is caused by what has happened in Georgia and their policy is absolutely clear what they do with the same embargo, the same blocking and so on. And here too, they are very active because they come up with statements that are very tense about Georgia"s territorial integrity. Also, I understand that we have a very serious resolution and they are angry. This resolution concerns the human rights on the occupied territories and I think it is very strictly condemns their policy, "Gigi Tsereteli said.
