"We have great success on the way of human rights," - said the Chairman of the Parliament at the International Forum in Batumi. According to Archil Talakvadze, Georgia has achieved a lot in terms of democracy and security over the past few years, this process made EU membership closer for Georgia.
"We celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Eastern Partnership Program, which means that we have utilized the entire potential of the Eastern Partnership Program for the past ten years in order to perform in favour of security issues, education and democratic transformation in our country. This program was an effective opportunity for Georgia to get closer to EU membership. We signed and implemented the Association Agreement. We have not stopped moving forward. As a result of constitutional reform, we managed to create a parliamentary governance system. We have great success on the way of human rights and we managed to get more and more integrated into the world markets," - Archil Talakvadze said.
The main issue of the international conference - "European Way" - was the occupation. Attendees were high ranking European guests and Georgian officials.
