As regards the events of dispersal and the demands about the resignation of the Minister of Internal Affairs Ambassador said that the issue of resignation is a matter of personal political responsibility and diplomatic corps does not make the decision about the internal politics.
"I was not in the parliament during the night of 20th of June, but I know that the ambassador of Germany who called me was in the parliament. I have not received the phone call or maybe I missed because I was at dinner with friends that evening. In my opinion, the investigation should be conducted with the Public Defender"s involvement. As regards the resignation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, it is his personal responsibility. from my point of view, politicians should assess the latter and current situation and then they should make the decision. I can not make the decision instead of him. Diplomats are here for help. We want Georgia to be successful. We don"t feel joy about the divided society of Georgia. I think everyone should respect and follow the Rule of Law. The government is obliged to act in favour of the people," - Pascal Meunier said.
The Minister of Internal Affairs spoke about the details of the night of June 20 in the political talk show "Reaction". Giorgi Gakharia said that during the night of the raid he was watching the events from the parliament with the ambassadors.
