The identities of the witnesses in the Okruashvili case, which the Courier has made public, are yet another confirmation to the opposition that the state has an intentionally fight against the leader of the political movement "Victorious Georgia".
According to non-parliamentary and parliamentary opposition members, Bidzina Ivanishvili wants the leader of "Victorious Georgia" to remain in custody as he uses all institutions against him.
“Today"s authorities have used everything to arrest Okruashvili. He is a political prisoner of course. It all started only after Irakli gave an interview to the Courier and said that Rustavi 2 was his. After Washington there will be Brussels, then Strasbourg, and in the end, I think that Western pressure is the only weapon that will release Irakli Okruashvili and 18 other political prisoners, ”said Guram Chalagashvili, founder of the political movement Victorious Georgia.
The opposition is convinced that Irakli Okruashvili did not commit a crime on the night of June 20-21, and Ivanishvili targeted him only because he had claimed shares of Rustavi 2.
