"Whoever speculates with this topic, damages the country"s interests" - PM says that the August war was a mistake

2008 was a big mistake - the Georgian Prime Minister said recently. Mamuka Bakhtadze visited Mukhatgverdi Cemetery, where he paid tribute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives exactly 11 years ago for the territorial integrity of Georgia. “The occupation of Georgian territories began much earlier and it was the beginning of the 90"s when our historic land was occupied. 2008 was a continuation of this process. This is, of course, a huge mistake, among them a mistake of the political leadership, that the proper emphasis was not put on this topic.

As for 2008, this was the next stage, this is a very painful, the occupant country was preparing for it for a very long time and unfortunately it was very visible. As for speculating on this topic itself, anyone who speculates on this topic will harm the interests of this country, ”Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
