Azerbaijan has opened a new border post in the territory of David Gareji. According to the local media, the post was opened yesterday in the presence of senior officials.

According to Azerbaijani media, during the speech the focus was on protecting the post as a historical-cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people along the border.
Opening of new border point in Davit Gareji became the reason for another wave of protests in Georgia. The anti-occupation movement is preparing for a rally today in the territory of David Gareji.
The “Kurieri” tried to get a response from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Border Department, but they didn’t comment this issue.
