Giga Nikoleishvili has been appointed deputy Head of the State Security Service. Prior to his appointment to the position, Nikoleishvili was the Head of the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Nikolaishvili has undergone operational training courses for officers from 1997-1998 (Academy of the Ministry of State Security of Georgia).
In 1994-1996 he graduated from Tbilisi Open Humanitarian University, Faculty of Law.
In 2008-2010, Nikoleishvili was the Deputy Head of Administration at the Ministry of Defense, Department of Military Intelligence.
In 2016-2017 he was the Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Municipality.
Nikoleishvili has received education both in Georgia and abroad.
