The solemn liturgy begins in Mtskheta on the occasion of Svetitskhovloba.

The liturgy will be conducted by the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia together with the clergy. After the liturgy, the Patriarch addresses the congregation with a sermon.

According to Dimitri Khundadze, a member of the “Georgian Dream”, Mtskheta majoritarian MP, various events are planned during the day. At the end of the day honorary Mtskheta residents will be awarded.

"Today we will have a very interesting day with different events. A lot of guests have arrived to Mtskheta and we promise them unforgettable day”, - said Khundadze.
Because of the holiday, car movement in Mtskheta is limited.
