A new power plant has been opened in the area of Rustavi Azoti

A condensing power plant has been opened in the area of Rustavi Azoti, equipped with the latest technologies of the company "Siemens" steam turbine generator.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the project started in February 2018. Power plant capacity is 9.0 MW.

The project budget was $5.5 million. With the new power plant, the country will purchase 20% less electricity on the wholesale market.
