Georgian Defense Minister met with NATO Secretary General. Irakli Garibashvili thanked Jens Stoltenberg for supporting Georgia"s sovereignty and territorial integrity, noting that the fifth visit of the North Atlantic Council to Georgia was a clear demonstration of cooperation.

"All our colleagues are very grateful to the fact that our heroic soldiers are fighting in Afghanistan and protecting peace and security. Therefore, the contribution of our troops and their role in strengthening our country is extremely important", - said Garibashvili.

The meeting was held in the sideline of the NATO Ministerial. Irakli Garibashvili is participating at the meeting of defence ministers of the NATO and partner countries’ within Resolute Support format in NATO HQ.
