Metal barricades were installed for security reasons to prevent violent actions by demonstrators against the police. Such statement made Vazha Siradze, the Head of the Patrol Police.

According to him, the movement of residents on the streets is not restricted. The Head of the police noted that blocking the road with metal constructions will continue until there are rallies and the danger of picketing the Parliament.

“We act adequately and accordingly to protect public safety. Since there have been many cases of blocking the entrances of the Parliament and protesters are saying they are going to do it again, the police have taken appropriate measures”, - added Siradze.

Because of the announced picketing, police forces are particularly mobilized at the Parliament. Metal barricades are at the entrances of the legislature.
