The wounded in Batumi policeman remains in artificial respiration

The policeman Otar Tavartkiladze underwent an emergency operation.

Tavartkiladze was wounded on his neck and shin.

According to the witnesses, the incident took place when the patrol police stopped a vehicle. The officer was first involved in a verbal altercation with the driver and later was wounded by him. Shortly after the incident, he was hospitalized.

The investigation into the incident is underway. The offender has reportedly been apprehended by the victim"s police partner.
