We will be able to serve the population with the help of other forms of public transport - Tbilisi Mayor

Though the mini-bus service will be restricted in Tbilisi to curb the spread of COVID-19, busses and metro will continue to work normally. Such a statement made today Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.

“The decision was made today by the Coordination Council pertaining to the restriction of mini-bus services in Tbilisi as well as Georgia’s other regions. Mini-buses are seen as dangerous hubs for the spread of the virus due to their lack of space. With the limited range of services available to the population, fewer people move around the city during the day. This assures me that we will be able to serve the population with the help of other forms of public transport.

People know that the metro and buses are disinfected on a daily basis and hygiene norms are fully respected”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
