The stricter the restrictions, the easier it will be to stop the epidemic - Tengiz Tsertsvadze

The more severe the restrictions, the easier it will be to stop the epidemic. Such a statement made Tengiz Tsertsvadze, the director general of the Infectious Diseases Hospital.

“The increase will not be dramatic, there will be no hundreds of patients. There will again be 2, 3 or 4 dozen of cases, which we’ve already had once or twice. We had a small peak, with 40 cases in a day so far. This is what I think, but I don’t know the opinion of my colleagues. They are more optimistic, they say we have already reached the peak, now there will be a plateau and then the number of cases will start to decrease. I think we may have an increase in the next one week, but it will not be hundreds of cases. After that, there will be a plateau and then a decrease.

Now there is a great risk in terms of easing the restrictions imposed within the framework of the state of emergency. The golden interval should be found so that the restrictions are eased, but at the same time, the epidemic does not turn back”, - concluded Tsertsvadze.
