For the first time in Georgia, a patient with coronavirus underwent surgery at the Bochorishvili Clinic. Such a statement made today the Chairperson of the clinic’s supervisory board.
According to Maka Sologashvili, a patient is a young man who has been treated at the clinic for 3 weeks.
“He had a gallbladder removed. We tried to relieve the pain with conservative treatment, but the condition worsened, and surgical intervention became necessary. Bilateral pneumonia, a fairly close touch of staff, posed a serious threat to surgery.
Fortunately, there is a separate operating room in the boxed sector where the surgery took place. The patient feels good”, - concluded Maka Sologashvili.
