Drivers of trucks in Batumi are demanding the lifting of restrictions. According to the drivers, the trucks from Turkey can stay on the territory of Georgia for 48 hours and this term is enough.
Drivers say that in Turkey there are different rules. Georgian drivers have 72-hour transit deadline there, but they are unable to pick up cargo and leave Turkish territory during that time. As a result they had to pay fines.
Drivers are asking the authorities to discuss this problem with the Turkish side.
