Tengiz Tsertsvadze, the Director General of the Center for Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology, talks about Georgia’s neighboring countries and notes that there is a difficult epidemic situation. That is why the recent increase of the number of infected people in Georgia is logical.
“When the second wave of coronavirus has started in the world, Georgia remains a happy exception, although there is still a slight increase. But this small increase was inevitable.
We are surrounded by countries where there is a peak, so no matter what measures we take, we can not do anything. Although the truck drivers are quite seriously controlled, the virus still enters with them”, - said Tsertsvadze.
