The Catholicos Patriarch Ilia II became a Godfather to another 721 children.

At the end of the day the newly baptized were blessed by the Patriarch. The ceremony was held in the yard of the Trinity Cathedral.

Currently, Ilia II has almost 41 thousand godchildren. At the initiative of the Patriarch, the first universal baptism of infants was held on January 19, 2008.
