Mtskheta District Court left all 11 people accused in connection with the murder of Giorgi Shakarashvili in custody. According to the Prosecutor of the case Davit Kazarashvili, they convinced the judge to uphold the measure of restraint against all of the defendants.

“The detention of these eleven defendants has been left in force as a measure of restraint. We convinced the judge to uphold the measure of restraint against all of the defendants. The lawyers expressed their positions, but did not provide any newly identified circumstance. Therefore, the court upheld its decision”, - explained Davit Kazarashvili.

17 people were detained in connection with the death of young footballer, 6 of them are minors.

The detainees do not plead guilty to the charges. They have been charged for organisation, management/participation in group violence, as well as unlawful imprisonment.
