Coronavirus was not detected in any of the 342 tests conducted in the Black Sea coast. Such a statement made today the Head of the National Center for Disease Control.
“350 000 PCR tests have been conducted on COVID-19 in Georgia since the end of January. An average of 4 830 PCR tests are conducted per day for the last 1 month. There were days when there were between 5 000 and 6 000 tests per day.
Also, rapid, antigen-based and antibody-based tests are being actively used, mainly for rapid control of drivers entering the border. 224 000 rapid tests based on antigen and antibody have already been conducted.
Expanded testing is underway at several points, especially in Mestia, where the quarantine period for those who were in self-isolation or quarantine will in most cases end tomorrow and the day after. 80-85% have been re-tested, all the answers were negative as a result of which they left the quarantine areas, the remaining 15-20% will be tested today and tomorrow”, - said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
