Murder at Larsi checkpoint – the court to discuss preventive measure against Russian citizen today

The court will discuss the preventive measure of the Russian citizen accused of the murder at the Larsi checkpoint today.

Vadim Gobozov, 40, was charged with premeditated murder yesterday.

The officers of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of investigative activities detained Russian citizen in Kazbegi for premeditated murder. Committed crime envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that on September 14, during the conflict that took place near “Dariali” border crossing point, father of Gobozov (DoB 1956) received health injuries, from A.M. (double citizenship of Russia and Georgia, DoB 1981) and died.

After the mentioned incident, on the basis of vengeance, Vadim Gobozov inflicted multiple injuries with a cold steel and blunt object to A.M. which resulted in his death.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, crime envisaged under the article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
