The 24th deceased patient had tested negative on 3-4 September - Marina Endeladze

The 24th COVID-19-infected patient who has died over the last 24 hours had multiple underlying diseases. Such a statement made the director of the boxed ward of the Infectious Diseases Hospital.

“The 70-year-old man, who was hospitalized on August 18 with double pneumonia, had been newly operated for laryngeal cancer and suffered from other underlying medical conditions such as bullous emphysema, anemia, and pulmonary thromboembolism in the right lung.

Although the patient had already recovered from COVID-19, as he had tested negative on 3-4 September, he still succumbed to complications from his underlying illnesses”, - said Marina Endeladze
