Those of our citizens returning to Georgia with a PCR test will no longer need to spend time in quarantine – the Prime Minister

Those of our citizens returning to their homeland with a PCR test will no longer need to spend time in quarantine, said today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“We have always said that quarantine space is the main tool to stop entry into the country and further spread. Of course, this is true, and it played a significant role in the first stage of the epidemic. We made the decision today to change the scheme of quarantine.

Those of our citizens returning to their homeland with a PCR test will no longer need to spend time in quarantine. The mentioned citizens will have the opportunity to move to 12-day self-isolation. Those citizens who do not have a PCR test with them will be able to use the quarantine spaces the same way”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.
